Slovin & Council, Co., LPA is a debt collector. This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be used for that purpose.
This Communication Consent & Disclosure explains how Slovin & Council, Co., LPA ("we," "us," or "the Firm") communicates with you electronically and requests your consent to do so. It contains two parts: (1) Email Communication Consent & Disclosure and (2) SMS (Text Message) Communication Consent & Disclosure. Your consent to one method does not require consent to the other, and you may opt out of either at any time as described below.
Part 1 — Email Communication Consent & Disclosure
To communicate with you by email, the Firm requests your consent. By consenting to communicate with the Firm via email, you confirm and agree to the following.
Consent and Program Terms
• You have read this Email Communication Consent & Disclosure, and you authorize the Firm to communicate with you by email regarding your account(s).
• The email address you provide is a personal email address and not one provided by your employer.
• Only you have access to emails sent to and from the email address you provide.
• You agree to take reasonable precautions to ensure the non-disclosure of email communications with the Firm, which may contain private, sensitive, or confidential information.
• You authorize the Firm to provide account-related documents to the email address you provide.
• You are not represented by an attorney with respect to the account(s); and your account(s) are not part of any pending bankruptcy proceeding and have not been discharged in bankruptcy.
• You agree to promptly notify the Firm of any change to your email address so that you continue to receive our communications.
Work or Government Email Addresses
If you provide a work or government email address, you acknowledge and consent to the receipt of communications from the Firm at that address, and you acknowledge that third parties may have access to those communications. By providing a work or government email address, you understand and waive any claims regarding third-party disclosure of such communications.
Opting Out of Email
You may opt out of email communications at any time by replying to any email you receive from us with a request to unsubscribe, or by calling us at 513-683-9000. After we process your request, we will cease sending non-essential email communications to your address. Please note that opting out of email may affect your ability to receive certain account-related communications electronically.
Delivery and Spam Filters
You are responsible for ensuring that your spam or junk-mail filters do not block or re-route emails from the Firm so that you are able to receive the emails we send you. If you make or schedule a payment or payment plan through the Portal, you agree to receive emails confirming that activity at or near the time it occurs.
Email Privacy
Your email address and other personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell, trade, or rent your email address to others.
Changes and Liability (Email)
We may update these terms from time to time. Any changes will be effective when we post the updated terms on the Portal or send a new email message. Your continued use of the email service constitutes acceptance of the revised terms. The Firm is not responsible for any delays or failures in the delivery of email communications due to issues with your email service provider or other technical problems beyond our reasonable control.
Part 2 — SMS (Text Message) Communication Consent & Disclosure
To communicate with you by SMS (text message), the Firm requests your consent. By consenting to communicate with the Firm via SMS, you confirm and agree to the following.
Consent and Program Terms
• You have read this SMS Communication Consent & Disclosure, and you authorize the Firm to communicate with you by SMS regarding your account(s).
• Message frequency may vary based on your interactions with us.
• Standard message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile carrier and plan. You are responsible for any charges incurred for sending or receiving SMS messages.
• The phone number you provide is a personal phone number and not one provided by your employer.
• Only you have access to SMS communications sent to and from the phone number you provide.
• You agree to take reasonable precautions to ensure the non-disclosure of SMS communications with the Firm, which may contain private, sensitive, or confidential information.
• You are not represented by an attorney with respect to the account(s); and your account(s) are not part of any pending bankruptcy proceeding and have not been discharged in bankruptcy.
• You agree to promptly notify the Firm if your phone number changes or is no longer in service.
Opting Out of SMS
You may opt out of receiving SMS messages at any time by replying STOP to any SMS message you receive from us, or by calling us at 513-683-9000. After you opt out, you will receive a one-time confirmation message, and we will cease sending SMS messages to your number. You may reply HELP for assistance at any time. Please note that opting out of SMS may affect your ability to receive certain account-related communications by text.

SMS Privacy
Your mobile phone number and other personal information will be handled in accordance with our Privacy Policy. We do not sell or share your mobile information with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it only with service providers that help us deliver messaging services, or as required by law.

By providing your phone number and consenting above, you provide consent under the Telephone Consumer Protection Act ("TCPA") to receive phone calls and text messages from Slovin & Council, Co., LPA about your account, including messages delivered using an automatic telephone dialing system or prerecorded or artificial voice, at the number you provide. Consent is not a condition of any payment or resolution of your account. You may revoke this consent at any time as described under "Opting Out of SMS" above.
